Raising
puppies is a serious business and we take it very seriously. We take great pride
in producing the best we can in quality Labradors. We provide an impeccably
clean environment for our puppies; one in which they will thrive and develop
to their utmost potential in the weeks that they spend with us. We are very
particular about our breed stock: OFA (hip & elbow) and CERF (eyes) clearances
go back several generations on every litter produced. We also screen for gentle
temperament and conform with AKC Labrador Retriever Breed Standard. Our puppies
are raised inside our home in the company of all family members and other dogs.
We spend a lot of time with our puppies and find great importance in socializing
the puppies with various human contacts (children and adults) as well as with
other dogs within the family. Our children, as well as many in the neighborhood
interact with the puppies on a regular basis. We have devised several training
devices which help stimulate the puppies' social skills. Their "puppy playpen"
is a favorite place for them to interact with each other, their "gym"
equipment and the other dogs. When weather permits and the pups are old enough,
supervised playtime is allowed on our fenced deck or fenced backyard as they
learn and explore their outside environment as well. In the summer months, their
Little Tyke's swimming pool is the most fun place to play! When the puppies
are approximately 6 -1/2 weeks old we perform a Puppy Temperament Test which
enables us to help recommend the best suited puppy for each family. All of our
puppies are sold with AKC Limited Registration and have hip, eye and health
guarantees. Puppies go home with elaborate written instructions to help new
owners best enjoy their puppy's first several months. When the puppies are 12
months old, we send out follow-up questionnaires. We want to make sure every
puppy owner is satisfied with their puppy.
